Freetime
Life’s not all about work and with Freetime, the task management app with a twist, you can discover how to make the most of your free time when you’re not busy with meetings.

Freetime brings together your work meetings, tasks and events in to one easy-to-use app. These can be organised in up to six fully customisable categories, with an overview as to how your total time is being spent, to ensure that you’re giving yourself that needed break.
Freetime can also suggest events near you that are available when you are, saving you the hassle of searching for events that work around your schedule. Events booked through the app, or through a connected Gmail account, will appear within the app view, keeping everything in one place.
Background
Back in 2016, as a student at Shillington College, I was tasked with conceptualising an app to improve a user’s quality of life. With this brief, the idea of merging event management with task organisation, with the ability to access the user’s existing contacts and preferences, in a single app was born. A year later I decided to revisit this concept with my newly improved UX skills gained from a year’s industry experience.
Ten people were surveyed regarding their needs, wants, and frustrations with existing apps. This feedbacks influenced the UX and UI design which I based on 4 main features.
